Welcome to the Spanish page. In this page you will find how I learned Spanish by myself by using methods online and make mine to learn every language more easily. I explain what I learned and how for every week. At the end, you will find some advice to help you do the same as well as the online ressources I used.
Remember that we don't have the same faculty when learning a language and it's not because it worked for me that it will also work for you.
Barcelona
Why spanish?
It all began when I was streaming and people was asking me how to learn Korean and also in how many years did I learned it. Every time I said the same thing: "learn sentences, than while learning sentences you will learn hangeul. After that introduce yourself, than your family. When you know all that, talk about things you like, talk about the weather. And finally to finish Beginner level (A2), make roleplay : you are lost and you need to go to XXX. you are on a shop and you need to buy XXX."
However each time I was streaming I had to repeat the same thing. So I said to myself I had to do something more concrete for them to remember my saying. That's how I made "my little method", and because I couldn't test it with Korean, I chose Spanish.

The reason why I chose Spanish over Swedish is because Spanish is much more closer to French than Swedish is. And the second reason is because the last language I learned was Samoan and it was more than two year ago, so I needed an "easy" language to make my language learning journey comeback.
My method

As I learned a lot of languages, I found that some advice was more efficient than others. I decided to challenge myself to make the method for helping Korean learners. It was first design to Korean only but since I already knew and wanted to test it before proposing it to others learners (-because, you know, if it's not working then... well... that's bad!-), I changed it to make it available for all languages.
This method last 46 days. (WARNING: NO! You can't be fluent in only 46 days! Goal is B1 or B1+)
The test was made with Spanish. The method is divided by week. Each week focus on one accomplishment to stay motivated until the end.

Week 1

The beginning of the journey

Objectif : presentation and interaction
I learned : Pronunciation, self introduction, basic questions, first irregular verbs.

Difficulties : Understanding of different verb utilisation, learning big numbers.

Ressources : Online videos on youtube like "how to introduce yourself in spanish", "learn how to introduce yourself in 3 minutes". Make exercices online about the verbs and using the right verb in the sentences.

My opinion : First week was easy because there's a lot of commun words with French which help me to learn much more quicker than I thought! I was able to introduce myself completely after two days and then two days after I learned to do the same for each member of my family. It was long and redundant but that's the way you have to do it to remember it. However, I was kind of confused with some job's vocabulary and wasn't able to remember then correctly. I made my first mistake : Wanted to learn too many vocabulary at once.

Week 2

Feeling strong and motivated

Objectif : talking freely
I learned : Past tenses, future tenses and small talks.

Difficulties : Understanding the different past possibilities.

Ressources : "Espagnol Facile" French website for students who want to learn foreign languages. A textbook to understand better and make some exercices.

My opinion : Second week was as the same times really fun and then difficult. I was really motivated to learn more. I was able to create full sentences (always with few mistakes), I mixed up all the past tenses and I still had trouble with irregular verbs so I had to look at my "verb paper" to make my sentence.

Week 3

Mentally destroyed

Objectif : daily talk
My opinion : I made the first days. I learned the sentences for the restaurant and shopping. However my biggest weakness was verbs. I was able to understand texts but making them myself was too difficult. I decided to change my challenge because I had too many things to learn daily. After a long brainstorming I made a new version of it (I added relax days too for my lazy brain). The method last 46 days (which is not long enough to be fluent! Don't get more wrong!!!).
For now, I think it's kind of ok(?), but as time passes, I think I'll be able to make it better (not with Spanish but maybe with Swedish)!
At the end of this week, because of my non desire to continue like this, I completely stopped learning Spanish and watching, reading, speaking in Spanish. It's been almost two weeks now. I will continue but not right now.

Comeback Week (4-7)

I'm back

Objectif : taking my time
I learned : review all past courses and new vocabulary.

Difficulties : Working every single day

Ressources : Handbook : MCGraw-Hill Education Beginner Spanish Grammar (turns out the other I used before was the advanced book. I know, it was literally written on the front page but I thought it was just a name!)
Website : Dreaming Spanish since 29th may
Book : Harry Potter y la piedra filosofal / Rubí (Red Rubi trilogy - I LOVE this trilogy ♥ GO READ IT!)
Movie : Los Juegos del Hambre

My opinion : I came back the 6th may. However I didn't really spend every day learning Spanish. Some days I only watched videos or do nothing at all. I only counted the day when I really was learning. So my last real study day was the 23th may. I decided to do more grammar and then I decided to watch merely Dreaming Spanish content.
I started with super-beginner. It is easy but I'm still watching it nowadays in case of unknown vocabulary. I decided to "test" beginner. It was the same level for me so... maybe intermediate? I watched some videos and that's it. I was able to understand the plot but not every words. I didn't stop there. I wanted to try the advanced. Same as intermediate. Understand the topic, what the video was about and even if it was harder I was still able to get what they wanted to say. I think I can do this because it's so much like French because I only started learning Spanish like... 2 months ago? I know my "plan" was a 46 days, which is so wrong if you want to become "fluent". But, yeah. I'm happy and I also can talk about language learning. I can express that I like it, what I learned and what I want to learn. I struggle with explaination but I will work on it.

Week 8-9

¿What is happening?

Objectif : Intermediate, really?
I learned : I don't really know. I mostly watch Dreaming Spanish therefore I learned new words here and there but not from a specific group.

Difficulties : Weirdly, none.

Ressources : Dreaming Spanish and native containt on Youtube.

My opinion : I don't get it. I made some text and audio tests on Youtube and the C1 and C2 level were too easy?? I was able to understand (not every words) the context. Of course it's because I'm French, otherwise I wouldn't be capable of that! BUT STILL!! It's so motivating!
Right after I tried to speak and yeap, not good. I'm baaaad. So I like to say that I'm a A2, even though I can speak on some subject that I like and ellaborate a short answer, which is kind of a B1 level.
However I don't want say say I'm a B1, because I still have troubles with verbs (I manage to understand more and more the past, but I don't want to overestimate my level).
